Engraving a photo on a drinking glass took at least 4-8hrs.. This was the basis for our decision, swapping out the ORTUR© laser head for an ENDURANCE© unit..

Hello Everyone.. I recently Got a Ortur Laser Master 2 and have been having great fun with it.. I feel the 20w is under powered for cutting.. am still testing different air assist.. But i was wondering since i have the casing for the laser modular is there a way of swapping the laser diode and lens for a more powerful version say 40 or 80w? if so would i need any thing more than just the laser ..

Say if you were replicating an old Wild West sign or something but for the most part nice clean burns rule the day.. Adding Air Assist is easy.. You need a nozzle directed at the cutting surface, some aquarium tubing and an air pump.. I got the 3D printed part for the nozzle from here.. It says that it is for the Ortur Laser Master 2, 15 watt laser ..

The Ortur Laser Master 2 Pro laser engraver come with a LU2-4 laser diode which outputs approximately 5..5W of optical power.. Ortur Laser Master 2 Pro is advertised to be 20W input power rated..
